This Fanimation Drone collection 12-inch extension rod in glossy black extends your ceiling fan's downrod for optimal air circulation in rooms with high or sloped ceilings.
Part of the Drone collection, this extension rod adds 12 inches to your fan's mounting height, helping you achieve the recommended clearance for efficient airflow. The glossy black finish pairs with Drone fans and other Fanimation models. Rated for damp locations, it's suitable for covered outdoor areas.
Best for
- Rooms with ceilings higher than 9 feet, where a standard downrod leaves the fan too high for effective cooling
- Sloped or vaulted ceilings, when paired with an angled-mount adapter
- Covered patios and porches, thanks to its damp rating
- Matching the glossy black finish of Fanimation Drone ceiling fans
Not ideal for
- Rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings, where a flush mount or shorter downrod is more appropriate
- Fans with non-standard downrod threading or diameters
