A 48-inch ceiling fan downrod in aged bronze, for mounting a fan on high or sloped ceilings so blades sit 7-9 feet above the floor.
This Fanimation downrod extends your ceiling fan's reach, letting you install it on ceilings higher than standard. The aged bronze finish adds a warm, traditional touch that complements classic fan designs. Steel construction provides stable support. Choose the length that fits your ceiling height, and join multiple downrods with a coupler for extra-long drops.
Best for
- Living rooms and great rooms with ceilings 10 feet or higher, where a standard downrod won't reach
- Two-story foyers and stairwells needing a fan at proper blade height
- Sloped or vaulted ceilings when paired with an angled-mount adapter
- Bedrooms with tall ceilings, ensuring optimal air circulation at seating height
Not ideal for
- Rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings, where a flush mount or shorter downrod is needed
- Outdoor or wet locations, as this downrod is rated for damp locations only
Sizing and fit
This downrod measures 48 inches long and 1 inch in diameter, fitting standard ceiling fans. For best performance, position fan blades 7-9 feet above the floor. If you need a longer drop, connect multiple downrods using a downrod coupler (sold separately).
