A 48-inch ceiling fan downrod in a silver stainless steel finish, for mounting fans on high or sloped ceilings.
This downrod from Fanimation extends your ceiling fan's reach to suit taller rooms, vaulted ceilings, or wherever you need airflow lower in the space. The silver stainless steel finish offers a clean, modern look that blends with a variety of fan styles. It's built to support your fan securely and is rated for wet locations, so it can be used on covered outdoor patios or in damp areas.
Best for
- Living rooms with ceilings 10 ft or higher, to position the fan at an optimal height
- Covered outdoor patios and porches, thanks to its wet location rating
- Bedrooms with vaulted or sloped ceilings, to bring the fan closer to the seating or sleeping area
- Great rooms and open-concept spaces where standard downrods are too short
Not ideal for
- Rooms with standard 8 ft ceilings, where a longer downrod may place the fan too low
- Installations requiring a downrod shorter than 48 inches
Style and finish
The silver finish is a bright, polished tone that adds a contemporary touch. It's a versatile choice that complements modern, transitional, and even traditional decor. The stainless steel construction ensures durability and resistance to corrosion.

Made from stainless steel, this downrod is built to resist rust and corrosion. To clean, simply wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the finish.
