A 48-inch ceiling fan downrod in a Textured Black finish, for extending your fan to the ideal height in rooms with high or sloped ceilings.
This Fanimation downrod replaces the standard rod that ships with your ceiling fan, letting you position the fan lower for better airflow and visual balance. The Textured Black finish adds a subtle, matte texture that works well with industrial, farmhouse, and modern decor. It is a simple, functional accessory that keeps your fan running smoothly at the right height.
Best for
- Living rooms and great rooms with ceilings 10 ft or higher, where a standard downrod leaves the fan too high for effective air circulation
- Bedrooms with vaulted or cathedral ceilings, to bring the fan down to a comfortable height above the bed
- Covered patios and porches with high ceilings, to improve airflow where you sit
- Replacing a shorter downrod when you install a fan on a sloped ceiling
Not ideal for
- Rooms with standard 8-9 ft ceilings, where a downrod this long would place the fan too low
- Indoor rooms where a glossy or polished finish is preferred, as the textured black has a matte look
How bright is it?
This is a ceiling fan downrod, not a light fixture, so it does not produce light. It is designed to support your ceiling fan and does not affect brightness.
Light color and feel
