A 48-inch ceiling fan downrod in Metro Gray stainless steel, for extending your fan to reach high or sloped ceilings.
This downrod from Fanimation is designed to lower your ceiling fan to the optimal height in rooms with tall ceilings, ensuring proper air circulation and aesthetic balance. The Metro Gray finish coordinates with a range of fan styles, while the stainless steel construction provides durability and resistance to corrosion.
Best for
- Great rooms and two-story spaces with ceilings 10 ft or higher, where a standard downrod isn't long enough
- Sloped or angled ceilings, allowing the fan to hang level and operate efficiently
- Covered outdoor areas such as patios and porches, thanks to its wet-rated construction
- Replacing a shorter downrod to improve air movement and comfort in large rooms
Not ideal for
- Rooms with standard 8-9 ft ceilings, where a longer downrod would place the fan too low
- Ceiling fans that already have an integrated downrod or flush-mount installation
Style and finish
The Metro Gray finish offers a modern, neutral look that complements contemporary and transitional interiors. The stainless steel material ensures a sleek, durable rod that resists rust and wear.
Materials and care
Constructed from stainless steel, this downrod is built to last. Clean with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch the surface.
