An 18-inch downrod in a driftwood finish, for mounting a ceiling fan at the right height in rooms with standard or slightly taller ceilings.
This Fanimation downrod extends your ceiling fan 18 inches from the mounting bracket, allowing for better air circulation and a more balanced look. The driftwood finish has a natural, weathered appearance that complements coastal, rustic, and farmhouse interiors. It's a sturdy accessory that helps you customize your fan's hanging height.
Best for
- Rooms with 9-10 ft ceilings where a flush-mount fan would be too high for effective airflow.
- Living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas where you want the fan lower for better cooling and a stylish focal point.
- Covered porches or patios, as this downrod is rated for damp locations.
- Replacing a shorter downrod to achieve the recommended 8-9 ft clearance from the floor to the fan blades.
Not ideal for
- Rooms with very low ceilings (under 8 ft) where a downrod would make the fan hang too low.
- Outdoor areas exposed to direct rain or moisture, as it is only rated for damp, not wet, locations.
How bright is it?
This is a downrod, not a light fixture, so it does not emit light. It is an accessory for mounting a ceiling fan.
Light color and feel
Not applicable, as this product does not contain a light source.
