An 18-inch downrod in a polished chrome finish, for mounting a ceiling fan at the optimal height in rooms with standard or taller ceilings.
This Fanimation downrod extends your ceiling fan 18 inches from the mounting bracket, allowing for better air circulation and a more balanced look. The chrome finish is sleek and reflective, complementing modern and contemporary interiors. It's a sturdy, reliable accessory that helps you customize your fan's hanging height.
Best for
- Rooms with 9-10 ft ceilings where a flush-mount fan would be too high for effective airflow.
- Living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas where you want the fan lower for better cooling and a stylish focal point.
- Indoor spaces with dry conditions, such as living rooms, bedrooms, and hallways.
- Replacing a shorter downrod to achieve the recommended 8-9 ft clearance from the floor to the fan blades.
Not ideal for
- Rooms with very low ceilings (under 8 ft) where a downrod would make the fan hang too low.
- Bathrooms, covered porches, or other damp locations, as this downrod is rated for dry locations only.
How bright is it?
This is a downrod, not a light fixture, so it does not emit light. It is an accessory for mounting a ceiling fan.
