An 18-inch downrod in brushed satin brass, for mounting a ceiling fan at the right height in rooms with standard or slightly taller ceilings.
This Fanimation downrod extends your ceiling fan 18 inches from the mounting bracket, letting you position the fan lower for better airflow and aesthetics. The brushed satin brass finish adds a warm, refined look that pairs well with contemporary and transitional interiors. It's a simple, durable accessory that ensures your fan hangs at the ideal height.
Best for
- Rooms with 9-10 ft ceilings where a flush-mount fan would be too high for optimal air circulation.
- Bedrooms, living rooms, and family rooms where you want the fan lower for better cooling and a more prominent design statement.
- Covered porches or patios, as this downrod is rated for damp locations.
- Replacing a shorter downrod to achieve the recommended 8-9 ft clearance from the floor to the fan blades.
Not ideal for
- Rooms with very low ceilings (under 8 ft) where a downrod would make the fan hang too low.
- Outdoor areas exposed to direct rain or moisture, as it is only rated for damp, not wet, locations.
How bright is it?
This is a downrod, not a light fixture, so it does not emit light. It is an accessory for mounting a ceiling fan.
