A 9-inch wide, 1-light cord pendant from Besa Lighting's Zen Collection, finished in brushed bronze with a clear glass shade - ideal for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Zen Clear Pendant features a transparent, hour-glass shaped glass shade with a random bubble pattern that plays with light beautifully. The exposed bulb inside creates a striking effect, and the brushed bronze finish adds a warm, transitional touch. This cord pendant comes with a 10-foot SVT cordset and a low-profile flat monopoint canopy, making it easy to install in a variety of spaces.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung in a row or singly for focused task lighting
- Dining rooms, providing ambient light over a table or counter
- Entryways and hallways, adding a warm welcome and visual interest
- Living rooms and reading nooks, as a decorative accent light
- Coffee bars and home bars, illuminating a small area with style
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for damp locations only, not wet locations
- Spaces with low ceilings if you need to hang it at a low height - the 10-foot cord may require extra slack management
- Primary room lighting in large spaces - it's a single 60W bulb, better for accent or task lighting
How bright is it?
With a single 60W E26 bulb (not included), this pendant produces about 800 lumens if you use a standard 60W incandescent equivalent LED. That's roughly the brightness of a traditional 60W bulb, ideal for accent or task lighting over a small area, but not enough to be the sole light source in a large room.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, use a 2700K-3000K bulb; for a brighter, more neutral light, choose 3500K-4000K. The clear glass shade lets the bulb show, so the light is direct and unshaded, creating a crisp, lively ambiance. If you use a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer, you can adjust the brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 9 inches wide and 6.7 inches high, with a canopy of 5 x 5 x 0.62 inches. The 10-foot cord allows for hanging at various heights, making it suitable for ceilings up to 9 feet or higher. For a kitchen island, hang it 30-36 inches above the countertop for optimal task lighting.
