A 9-inch wide transitional cord pendant with a bronze finish and blue glass shade, ideal for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Niles pendant features a broad transparent blue glass cylinder with a random bubble pattern and an exposed light source, creating a striking play of light. The brushed bronze finish on the brass and steel hardware adds a warm, refined touch, making it a versatile choice for a variety of interiors.
Best for
- Kitchen islands, hung in a row of two or three for task and ambient lighting
- Dining rooms, centered over a table for a warm, inviting glow
- Breakfast nooks and casual eating areas
- Entryways and hallways with 8-10 ft ceilings
- Coffee bars or serving stations needing focused accent light
Not ideal for
- Large rooms requiring high brightness - this is a single 60W fixture, not a primary light source
- Spaces with ceilings under 7 ft, as the 10 ft cord may be too long
- Areas needing a flush mount or semi-flush profile
How bright is it?
With a single 60W bulb (not included), this pendant produces approximately 800 lumens - similar to a standard 60W incandescent, ideal for accent and ambient lighting, not as a sole source for large spaces.
Light color and feel
The blue glass creates a cool, vibrant glow that adds a pop of color to the room. The exposed bulb means the light is more direct and less diffused than with an opal shade. Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose; a 2700K-3000K bulb will provide a warm contrast to the blue glass.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 9.5 inches wide and 9 inches high, with a 10-foot SVT cord and a low-profile monopoint canopy. It suits ceilings 8-10 ft; for higher ceilings, the cord can be adjusted. The canopy is 5 inches square.

Is it dimmable, and what dimmer should I use? Dimmability depends on the bulb used. If you use a dimmable LED bulb, it will work with a standard dimmer. The fixture itself does not have a built-in dimmer.
Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? Yes, this fixture is rated for damp locations, so it can be used in bathrooms (not directly in shower spray) and covered outdoor areas.
What's the warranty? Warranty information is not specified by the manufacturer; please contact Besa Lighting for details.
How does the blue glass affect the light color? The blue glass adds a cool tint to the light, which can create a more contemporary feel. For a warmer ambiance, choose a bulb with a lower color temperature (2700K-3000K).
