A 9-inch cord pendant with a smoke glass globe and brushed bronze canopy, ideal for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Bombay Pendant features a smoke glass globe with a circular optical pattern blown into the interior, creating a dramatic play of light on adjacent surfaces. The exposed filament adds a modest, modern touch. This cord pendant includes a 10-foot SVT cordset and a low-profile flat monopoint canopy, finished in brushed bronze.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung in multiples for task and ambient light
- Dining rooms and eat-in kitchens, providing warm accent lighting over tables
- Entryways and hallways, adding a modern focal point
- Coffee bars and home bars, illuminating serving areas
- Open-plan living spaces, used in clusters for visual interest
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, despite damp rating, as the cord and canopy are not sealed for wet areas
- Outdoor uncovered areas, as it is rated for damp locations only
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet, as the 10-foot cord may require looping
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but it accepts a single 60W E26 medium-base bulb (not included). With a standard 60W incandescent equivalent, expect around 800 lumens, but the smoke glass will reduce light output, making it more suitable for accent or ambient lighting.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, select a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The smoke glass softens and diffuses light, creating a moody, intimate atmosphere that flatters warm wood and neutral palettes.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 9.8 inches wide and 8.4 inches high, with a 5-inch canopy. The 10-foot cord allows hanging at various heights, suitable for ceilings up to 10 feet. Ideal for kitchen islands or dining tables where a compact, low-profile light is needed.
