- The Lutyens Benches were inspired by the original Thakeham seat, designed at the turn of the last century by British architectural icon, Edwin Lutyens, for the garden at Little Thakeham, West Sussex, England. This perennial bench design has never faded and we now consider it an English garden classic.
- Made of Eucalyptus grandis wood that is sustainably harvested and finished with a natural oil finish. Maintaining the finish with periodic reapplication of oil will preserve the deep reddish wood color, and ensure longevity. Left to the elements, the wood will naturally age to silvery grey, as will teak, cedar or acacia. We recommend protecting furniture indoors or with a cover during extreme weather months.
